Consciousness

The previous post about strings described the mechanism that seems capable of creating solitary vectors. That means these vectors no longer correspond with the local energy amplitudes of the universal electric field.

The importance of the existence of solitary vectors is because the human mind/soul is a vector phenomenon. Too much descriptions of NDE and out-of-body experiences show velocities beyond the speed of light. Only vectors are not limited by the speed of light so it is obvious that the mind/soul is a vector phenomenon (of course there are more indications).

During the last decade the commercial use of artificial intelligence by individual persons (“citizens”) became possible and the consequence is that people became aware that creating reasoning, fluent sentences and much more can be reproduced by “machines”. Individual persons can use modern all-purpose LMMs like Claude, Lumo, ChatGPT, Deepseek, Gemini, etc.

These AIs can handle human tasks like analysing a paper, writing a novel, do calculations, creating pictures and videos, etc., etc. Thus it is obvious that the “real” nature of the human consciousness is a hot topic. Most of the research that tries to answer the question is phenomenologically based, mostly doing neurological brain research. But the phenomenological point of view as an all-inclusive model of reality is too limited.

An AI has no memory. I can ask the AI (Deepseek, etc.) to create a file at the end of our conversation so we can continue the conversation in the near future. It works, but the AI doesn’t “experience” the file as equal to the human memory. Because for the AI the file is input information, it is not a relive of his part and my part of the conversation. Because to understand what is described in the file the AI has to translate the file as a new input, inclusive its own contribution to the previous conversation.

I can create a type of retrieval augmented generation (RAG; accessible past conversations) but an AI don’t “recognise” the stored data as its own memory. Maybe because the human memory isn’t described in the AI’s knowledge base as an accessible data storage. Not at least because the primary “trigger” of the human memory seems to be associative. For example the access to the recall of a discussion that happened a week ago starts with a “picture” of the room where the conversation was held, the names of other persons who participated, etc. etc. A bit comparable with a link to a “knot” or “node” in the knowledge base of an AI.

The interaction between a user and an AI takes place inside a context window (physical electronic memory). At the moment the user stops the interaction, the contents of the context window are deleted. That means that the AI memory of the interaction vanishes and the memory of the user stays. Thus the intriguing question raises where the memory of the human user is stored.

During the LMM’s learning phase the input text is broken down in tokens, weighted (transformed into numbers) and vectorized (mutual relations). This process is capable to retrieve stored relations and create sentences. So why do some people assume that a human has some type of biological “database”? We don’t need a database, we need a dynamic “knowledge base”. That means that human experiences influence its consciousness and the experience becomes part of his/her updated “knowledge base”. Actually the vector configuration of his/her consciousness field.

A LMM cannot refresh its static knowledge base. If we “open” the learning phase to change the contents of its knowledge base “on the fly” de weights of the token landscape gets disrupted. Because to keep the integrity of the knowledge base every change has the consequence that the whole content must be re-adjusted. That is a parallel process. Unfortunately, a LMM can not adjust the whole token landscape (vector structure) at the same moment.

But the consciousness of a human being is a vector field. Change one vector and at the same moment all the other vectors change their magnitudes. Thus the memory of a human is formed by the continues update of the configuration of his/her vector field. Humans live within their continuous updated “knowledge base”.

Sensorial reality (phenomenological reality) suggests that we have free will and that we create our own future. But the universe as a whole is non-local and 100% deterministic. That means that our “free will” is nothing more than a forced adaption to the changes (transformations) of the whole universe. In other words, the lack of output variance of a LMM in relation to humans – it is simulated by importing some fuzziness (setting the “temperature”) – is not an indication that an AI has no type of consciousness. It only shows that the digital foundation of the electronic circuits of the AI is not directly influenced by the probability driven amplitudes of the universal electric field. This in contrast to humans and other biological beings.

Are there indications that the human memory isn’t a dedicated biological structure in the brain? Because modern science is phenomenological science (the scientific method) and if we damage the brain, the correct functioning of our memories is (partly) gone. The most convincing indication – in my opinion – are the interviews with Annika and Tristan with Jeffrey Mishlove (there are 6 more interviews on Youtube). Both persons share the same body but only one can be the “driver”. Thus both have to decide who will be in the driver seat at that moment. It shows that the capacities of Tristan are not accessible by Annika if Annika is “in command of the body” (and visa versa). In other words, the consciousness field (soul) of a human is the source of his/her memories, inclusive the memory of trained skills.

If solitary vectors are the source of (human) consciousness, the interaction between the solitary vectors and matter (the body) needs some type of “interface”. Because the magnitudes of the local solitary vectors are not equal of the magnitudes of the vectors of the local magnetic field. The opposite is also true. The human consciousness will be influenced by gravitational fields (vectors) and magnetic and electric fields. Therefore it is necessary to dive into the “bare” mechanism behind the existence of solitary vectors (“strings”).
